An open letter to Michelle Duggar

As sent February 12th 2012 to the Duggar's email address listed on their website  ( http://duggarfamily.com/content/contact ) :

Dear Michelle,
I am a mother of a very precious one, and I have watched your show and seen such a beautiful family and the work of God in your life; your gentleness has encouraged me, and although you and I come from very different backgrounds, we share the same God and Savior and are so blessed by His love.  I don't know if you will ever read this personally, but I wanted to write now that things may have quieted down a little after the loss of your child to tell you how much I feel for you, how blessed I have been by your steadfastness and response publicly to this hurt, and to share that I suffered the same loss the first time I conceived... You may have read John MacArthur's book "Safe in the Arms of God," and I have to say that is the only book other than the Bible that helped at that point in my life.  Well-meaning people can say such awful things, or ignore what feelings there are when a child is lost before birth- unfortunately this was my experience.  God has been so gracious and patient with my grief, which actually came back after my healthy baby boy was born, and as we are now planning to try to conceive again.  You and I do not see eye to eye on everything doctrinally, but I believe we see eye to eye in valuing the truth of God's Word, and the beauty of Christ in us, the hope of glory.  I have been concerned, watching you guys, about some of the beliefs that you have taken on in addition to the Word of God, and though I am sure that there are many things in my life that need to be challenged, I don't believe it is right of me to miss an opportunity to speak the truth in love.  I do hope you will prayerfully click on the link below and read the article I have recently read.  Please do not let guilt from grief about this loss or anything past persuade you of anything other than that God's love is sufficient and when we don't have the right feelings, He is greater than our hearts, and holds us still.

With love in Christ, and see you in heaven,
